What is carbon footprint ?
What is Carbon footprint ?
'Walking generates footprints on land', In the same reference Carbon footprint is the term used to define our contribution to greenhouse gas emissions onto the environment.
Simply said, how much greenhouse gases you as an individual or an organisation generates which contributes to global warming.
Why it is important ?
Carbon footprint is ultimately the measurement of how big a threat are you to the global warming. This includes melting of icebergs, natural fires, rising water levels, increased air pollution, etc. This is a scale, a measurement, a testimony or whatever you want to call it. The higher it is, more it is responsible for higher global temperatures.
"Aviation accounts for about 2 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions, and that share is poised to grow."
